Job Description
A CRM can help to enable internal teams to effectively track leads, subscriptions, content engagement, and revenue generation. The CRM will be a central hub for collecting data and supporting sales, marketing, and client service functions.
Responsibilities
- Subscriber Profiles: Track individual subscriber details (contact information, subscription plan, renewal dates, past issues purchased)
- Establish communication between the client and the operations team by constantly keeping them updated
- Use the CRM’s pipeline feature to manage and visualize the client sales cycle
- Updating the data of the clients in the software and the different stages of the contract they are in
- Integrate with email marketing and social media platforms to automate outreach, newsletter distribution, and ad campaigns
- Use CRM for targeted marketing campaigns based on subscriber behavior and interests
- For instance, if a subscriber frequently reads content related to a particular industry (eg: finance or information technology)
- Track what topics or issues are most popular with your readers and tailor future content based on that data
Technical Skills
- Typing proficiency is a critical skill
- The ability to type quickly (typically 60–80 words per minute or higher)
- Excellent organizational skills to keep data and files structured and easily accessible
- Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets: A deep understanding of spreadsheet software is essential for data entry, including using formulas, creating tables, and organizing data
- Understanding how to check the data for consistency, completeness, and accuracy
- Strong focus on the accuracy and consistency of data input, especially when managing large volumes of data

- Ability to communicate effectively with customers through calls and email
- A focus on understanding and meeting the needs of clients
- Strong interpersonal skills to build and maintain long-term customer relationships
- Ability to collaborate with other departments (Editorial, Creative, and Digital) to align customer strategies and ensure a unified customer experience
Qualifications
- Diploma in any stream with good communication skills
- Bachelors in any stream or equivalent with good communication skills
